Topics will include an overview of the current federal funding landscape and the challenges and opportunities ahead; major federal funding opportunities and how to align research ideas with those opportunities, especially for faculty not in fields that are current administration priorities; collaborations and interdisciplinary efforts; exploring how to conceptualize proposals as persuasive documents; and addressing broadening participation and broader impacts post 2025. This workshop is designed for faculty who are new to the grant writing process or reengaging in the process. Much of the information provided is useful for experienced grant writers.
