Topics will include how to find funding opportunities and align research ideas with those opportunities; understand the missions of different funders; learn about specific funding opportunities for early career stage faculty at the National Science Foundation; learn about the merit review criteria; and receive tips for getting started with writing competitive proposals, especially as it relates to changes at federal agencies post 2025. This workshop is designed for faculty new to the grant writing process or reengaging in the process. Much of the information provided is useful for experienced grant writers.
