Biography

Dr. Anne Bradford Warner began teaching in the English Department at Spelman College in 1982. In addition to being an associate professor English, she served as the director of the College's Comprehensive Writing Program from 2004 until her retirement in 2015 when she was awarded the distinction of professor emerita for her distinguished contributions to academia.

Spelman Presidential Award for Distinguished Service, 2006 

NYU Faculty Resource Network Summer Seminar in "Global Mythologies," June 6-
10, 2005.  This seminar supplemented a course I developed earlier, The Epic and Its Origins.

NYU Faculty Resource Network Summer Seminar in "Literature of the Americas,"
June 8-12, 2003.  This seminar supplied a new perspective and new materials
for the survey, U. S. Literature before 1865.

Grant Activities

Association of the Colleges of the South, Faculty Renewal Grant, 2010-2011, $7,000, 
PI, with Lisa Niles and Aditi Pai.  Offered 5 luncheon sessions for faculty
with nationally known academic editors and foundation proposal grantors.
